Pneu-Vey Pneumatic Conveyors

Sometimes you need different tools for different jobs, which is why MPE offers complete pneumatic conveying option

Even though Chain-Vey’s technology is flexible, versatile and ideal when possible, there are times where another technology might be a better fit. Process requirements such as high vertical distances, specific product characteristics, multiple direction changes or destination locations might make pneumatic conveying a better solution. If that is the case, we offer those solutions for our customers needs.

Pneu-Vey Pressure Dilute (PPD) System

The Pneu-Vey pressure dilute system is a pneumatic conveying method where materials are suspended in a moving air stream within a pipe, operating under positive pressure. The system pushes air to carry the material which is held in suspension at a high velocity.

Our PPD design is ideal where unwanted product breakage and attrition is not a concern.

Attributes of PPD

  • Better for few sources to many destinations
  • Considerable clearance required at the source and destination point(s)
  • Suitable for high altitudes
  • Suitable for long distance conveyance
  • Leaks result in product escaping to atmosphere
  • Prone to de-mixing of blends and product breakage

Pneu-Vey Vacuum Dilute (PVD) System

The Pneu-Vey vacuum dilute system transports dry bulk materials by suspending them in a high-velocity air stream within a pipeline, utilizing a negative pressure (vacuum) to move the material. This system is also known as lean phase conveying.

Our PVD systems are ideal for many products where breakage is not a concern and system layout may be advantageous.

Attributes of PVD

  • Better for many sources to few destinations
  • Limited clearance required at the source point(s)
  • Considerable clearance required at the destination point(s)
  • Not suitable for high altitudes
  • Limited distance conveyance
  • Leaks result in ambient air being drawn into the conveyor system
  • Prone to de-mixing of blends and product breakage
