Inside Sales Support Associate

Position Overview:

MPE is seeking an Inside Sales Administrator to coordinate and support the sales activities of the company. This role is administrative in nature, but also requires strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. Daily responsibilities will encompass verbal and written communications with customers, development/creation of professional quotations, as well as sales management of MPE’s “gourmet/specialty grinder” product line. The role represents the opportunity to serve as an integral member of a high performing sales team.

For nearly sixty years, MPE has been the industry leader for designing and manufacturing.  Industrial Grinders, Conveyors and Complete Plant Systems for the coffee and food industry. While we have a rich history in coffee processing (over 90% market share in North America for ground coffee production), other industries include food, pet food, craft breweries, dried nuts, cereal, and chemical.  All of our products are designed and manufactured at our facility in Chicago, IL.  

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe/PDF editors and Outlook/OneDrive).

Essential functions:

  • Sales & Service:
    • Work with Sales Department to produce quotations for MPE Customers
      • New Equipment Quotations
      • Spare Parts Quotations
      • Service Quotations
    • Act as primary customer contact on behalf of the Sales Team
    • Sales manager of MPE’s “gourmet/specialty grinder” product line
    • Process incoming orders
    • Act as manager of MPE test lab and lab testing schedule
    • Update the CRM opportunity manager as required
    • Coordinate and participate in a variety of weekly sales meetings
    • Organization of upcoming sales trips and incoming customer visits
    • Perform phone and email follow-ups of sales leads (potential projects)
    • Coordinate tradeshow support activities
    • Produce equipment manuals for ready to ship equipment
