CLICK HERE: Chain-Vey Improves Pet Food (Case Study -)

A major premium pet food manufacturer’s operations had to be compliant within the regulations set-up by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). These strict guidelines require the plant to prevent contaminations in their pet food. Some of the challenges of the project were to minimize the risks of product contamination, eliminate the change-over risks, allow for positive clean-outs between product SKU’s, and to enclose all of their open-air conveyors. The customer was also looking to update their existing bucket elevators and “checkerboard” layout of drag conveyors into a single, self-cleaning, no maintenance, conveying system.
