Is the Gran-U-Lizer right for you?

• • Is your material friable? MPE particle size reduction equipment works best on materials that are friable because friable materials will crack or break apart under pressure rather than smash flat.

• • What particle size do you wish to achieve? MPE's equipment works best at reducing particles to the 4-150 mesh range. MPE has many successful applications for products smaller than this range, such as activated carbon at 80-325 mesh, however, as a general rule, the target particle size should be in the 4-150 mesh range.

• • Is a tight particle size distribution important to you? MPE's equipment is ideal for producing a tight particle size distribution. If minimizing the number of very small particles (fines) or obtaining a tight distribution is important to you, MPE's has the perfect solution for your application.

From foods to chemicals to minerals

MPE Gran-U-Lizers are used in numerous dry food grinding mill applications and a variety of options are available including those required to meet FDA requirements. Common food applications include coffee, bread crumbs, flax seed, pepper, rice, salt, sugar and sweeteners. MPE Gran-U-Lizers are ideal for a multitude of mineral grinding applications where final product yield and a minimization of fines are essential. Typical applications are dry, friable materials such as bentonite clay, limestone / calcium carbonate, silicon metal and zeolite. MPE Gran-U-Lizers are also used in numerous chemical milling, grinding and pulverizing applications. Typical applications include activated carbon, coke (metallurgical, petroleum), phenolic resins, super absorbents (SAP).

When your sample is received at our Testing Center, we prepare the necessary Gran-U-Lizer configuration and conduct on-site particle tests. Once we determine the best grinding parameters, we will send you a complete report illustrating the size distribution of your product as well as product samples for your review.

MPE also guarantees that once installed, your results will meet or exceed those previously achieved during both our laboratory and pre-shipment testing (provided that the same feedstock is utilized as that which was the basis for the original testing).
