MPE Introduces the New SAP Gran-U-Lizer™ with BAVA

(Chicago, IL) Modern Process Equipment Corporation (MPE), the world's leading manufacturer of precision particle size reduction equipment, announces its latest grinder design, the Model 1052 SAP Gran-U-Lizer™, which is specifically designed for grinding Super Absorbent Polymers (SAPs). The 1052 contains a number of unique features that further increase particle uniformity, minimize fines and improve process efficiencies.

One of the features is the BAVA (Balance and Vibration Analysis) that senses when product moisture levels elevate beyond the tolerable range. When this occurs, the produce becomes elastic and does not grind efficiently. BAVA senses the material elasticity change and notifies plant personnel. BAVA can also predict bearing failures before they occur, further increasing operating efficiencies.
